Primary Engineer Day
After a busy week in which two of the classes visited Walton Firs and we all continued to rehearse for our Year 6 Celebration Assemblies, the children spent Friday developing their design and technology skills during our Primary Engineer Make Day. We were instructed on what to do by a Network Rail engineer; the day involved us making a rail vehicle which involved making a frame, building circuits and attaching motors and pulleys so that we could control the vehicle’s movement. We also had to demonstrate great listening skills, patience and dexterity throughout the day. Massive thanks to Miss Costa and the teaching assistants for working so hard to organise the event and for helping all of the children to make the most of the experience.
