Reproducing Reebops!

On Friday, Year 6 made 'Reebops' which related to our science topic, evolution. We were focusing on how genes passed down between organisms of the same species; this is called inheritance.

Our Reebops had seven characteristics and this means that there are 128 different combinations from Mr and Mrs Reebop. The seven characteristics are:  how may body segments, how many antennae, how many eyes, the body colour, the colour of the legs, how many humps and the sex. The Year 6 children randomly selected different genes for each characteristic from the mum and dad and then made the offspring.

Take a look in the science folder for more photos from this lesson.
