  • Divorced, beheaded, died. Divorced beheaded, survived!

    This term we have all thoroughly enjoyed being historians and becoming Henry VIII experts. We have been investigating an important question; was king Henry VIII a hero or a villain? Some of us are yet to decide. To support our learning we have been looking at how he treated all six of his famous wives and how he treated the people he reigned over. It was amazing to support research in class and for homework by visiting Hampton Court Palace last week. The highlight for many was the wonderful-guided tour and workshop. And of course, everyone loved getting lost in the maze! We have started working on a new computing project and everyone is excited to put our King VIII learning into action, by creating a short film about his life.

  • Mathematics!

    Over the last couple of weeks, the children in Year 4, have been learning about angles. During their lessons, we have discussed what right angles, obtuse angles and acute angles are! We then made our learning interactive and memorable by taking the children outside to give them the opportunity to draw a range of angles and order them.
