Michael, the hero of our class book Kensuke's Kingdom, has fallen overboard and is now washed up on an island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. How will he survive? Year 4 could give him some advice with the survival guides they have written this week.
Using Bear Grylls' Survival Camp to inspire us, we have each written our own 2 page survival guide using our knowledge of key features of non-fiction writing. Here are some top tips in case you ever find yourself marooned: rub berries on your skin before eating them to find out if they are poisonous; don't eat the brown coconuts; make a large SOS sign using pebbles for passing aircraft to see.
