Observations and Investigations

Observing and investigating in science and history lessons.

This week Year 3 have been developing their observation skills in both science and history.

In science we set up a plant investigation last week to explore the question of which of the following elements: air, warmth, light, space, soil, water are most important to enable a plant to grow healthy and strong. This week we observed the changes that have taken place over the course of the past week, considered and compared the six plants and recorded our observations.

In history we observed a photo of an Ancient Egyptian artefact and considered questions we might ask to gain a deeper understanding of life in the Ancient Egyptian times.
