What a fantastic start to Year 6! The children have embraced their new routines and responsibilities, impressing us with their enthusiasm, effort and excellent behaviour. As they embark on their final year at primary school, we are delighted to see them setting such a positive example as role models. In maths, we’ve been consolidating our understanding of place value, while in science, we’ve explored the five kingdoms of living things. Emma Carroll’s Letters from the Lighthouse has sparked tremendous interest in the Blitz, bringing our World War II history topic to life. In art, we’ve explored how street art can convey powerful messages and developed our ability to use one-point perspective. Whatever challenges and opportunities lie ahead, we look forward to seeing the children embrace all that Year 6 has to offer.
