Learning outside

The children in Year 6 have been working really hard to consolidate their learning in the final few weeks before their SATs tests.  We are so lucky at Sheen Mount that when the sun shines we are able to go outside and learn together in our outdoor classroom – it makes maths even more fun!

But it’s not all about SATs as the children have also enjoyed discussing stereotypes in PSHE, Optical Art inspired by the work of Bridget Riley and working in the dark to investigate angles of incidence and reflection in science.  And, whisper it quietly, we have already started getting excited about our Year 6 trip to Marchants Hill in the final week of this half term!
