The Year 6 children had great fun on Friday reading with their friends in Reception. Many of us also dressed up as a book character - The Midnight Gang was a popular theme.
We had a great time in Year 6 during our pasta making week.
Last week, Year 6 enjoyed a special PE lesson which was organised and run by our PE ambassadors. They did a brilliant job of setting up, explaining and modelling the activities.
Over the past fortnight, Year 6 have been busy and enthusiastic across the curriculum!
In science this week we have braved the cold to investigate how well different coloured moths could survive on the tree trunks in our school.
In Year 6 this week, we have been investigating genetic inheritance by 'breeding' and building imaginary animals, known as 'reebops'.
All of the Year 6 children are working really hard with Mrs Adams and Mrs O'Brien to practise their singing for our carol concert on Wednesday 17th December. We can’t wait!
The Year 6 children have come back from half term feeling fresh, enthusiastic and ready for lots more new learning!
Year 6 had a lovely long walk and a great time visiting Kew Gardens last Wednesday.
This week in Year 6 the children have really enjoyed their science lessons, where they have designed a key to classify some of the invertebrates we might be able to find in and around our school. We are all looking forward to presenting our charts to our friends in the Reception classes so they can learn about what we know!
The last couple of weeks have been very busy for Year 6. To bring our learning about World War II to life, we visited the underground air raid shelter at St Leonard’s Court to help us imagine what it would have been like for people sheltering from the bombing during the Blitz.
