Our own Anglo Saxon Village

Year 5 stepped back into the 5th century for Anglo Saxon Day this week, where they learnt to weave, dig for ancient archaeological treasures and dip wax for candles, all whilst trying to decide if they should go to war or not! The hands-on history event brought early medieval Britain to life, allowing the young year 5 historians to experience the daily routines, crafts, and survival skills of Anglo-Saxon settlers. We had a brilliant day and the children looked great in their outfits! Thank you again to all the adults who helped.
