Hot off the press!

As the weeks continue to race by, Year 5 have shown that not even soaring temperatures can melt their enthusiasm for learning! We have been incredibly impressed by the children's resilience, excellent behaviour and positive attitude, while last week's fantastic Careers Week gave them a fascinating glimpse into a wide range of future possibilities. A huge thank you to the many parents who generously gave their time to inspire our pupils. In maths, the children have been exploring negative numbers, leading to plenty of timely discussions about the weather! In science, they have been learning about human development and the important milestones of babies and young children, while in English they have continued Journey to Jo'burg, writing thoughtful letters of reassurance. Meanwhile, in DT they have begun exploring mechanical systems as they prepare for the eagerly anticipated Squashed Tomato Challenge – watch this space!
