Are you sitting comfortably?

It has been an exciting start to the final half-term of the academic year and Year 5 have wasted no time getting stuck in! A particular highlight was our visit to Tower House School, where we enjoyed a fascinating “fireside” chat with author and screenwriter Anthony Horowitz, whose enthusiasm and passion for writing was infectious. Thank you to Tower House for their wonderful hospitality.
Back at school, pupils have been constructing their DT monuments, carefully turning their designs into thoughtful tributes to themes of their choice. In computing, they have continued developing their vector graphics, using shapes, layers and careful editing to create polished digital designs. In English, Journey to Jo’burg, by Beverley Naidoo, has opened up powerful discussions about apartheid, fairness and courage. And, as if that were not enough excitement, we have also been busy preparing for our PGL school journey, where, weather permitting, we will be enjoying an altogether different kind of fireside chat!
