It has been wonderful to welcome the children back after half-term: refreshed, focused and accompanied by some much-appreciated sunshine! In maths, we have been exploring decimal fractions, building confidence with place value and reasoning. The children have been asking: is this material an electrical conductor or insulator? Using their practical enquiry skills, they have drawn thoughtful conclusions to support their findings. In DT, we have been investigating puppets and will use our new-found knowledge to design and make Macbeth-inspired puppets, linking to our work in English. We have also been busy exploring global brands as part of a unit of work on global trade in geography.
