Year 3 News 11.03.22
Published 11/03/22This term, Year 3 are studying their local area in history and have been learning all about early modes of transport. Here are a few pictures of their charcoal steam train drawings - aren't they fantastic?!



In line with our history topic, we have also debated for and against the coming of the railway to our local area...

Year 3 are also really enjoying reading Matilda by Roald Dahl and have been acting in role as Matilda, Miss Honey and Miss Trunchbull...

Daffodils, Character Studies and Light!
Published 24/02/22This week Year 3 have started reading their new core text, 'Matilda' by Roald Dahl. They have identified and sorted adjectives to describe the personality and appearance of Matilda and her father Mr Wormwood, and written a detailed character description.
The children explored light and dark, thin and thick lines ahead of painting a still life of a daffodil in art this week. A relaxing activity to ease us all back into the new term!
