This week, Year 3 have started their theme of the Amazon Rainforest.

Have you ever thought your reusable shopping bag isn't quite fit for purpose? Do you think you could design one which would be strong as well as comfortable?
This week the children in Year 3 have been adding and subtracting 3-digit numbers from 3-digit numbers, estimating to the nearest tens or hundreds number and consolidating their learning through fluency card games and 'Flashback 4' activities.
In gymnastics this week, the children thoroughly enjoyed putting previous learning from Autumn 1 into partner and group routines. They chose a selection of gymnastics shapes such as: the star shape, straight shape or tuck shape and linked the chosen shapes together using a range of travelling steps.
Having learnt and practised the individual reading roles as a class last term, the children moved on to working in individual groups with each child responsible for carrying out one of the following roles:
-Boss
-Predictor
-Questioner
-Summariser
-Clarifier
What a fantastic end to a brilliant term!
