Maps, Music & Memories

We’ve had another busy and engaging week in class, with lots of exciting learning taking place across the curriculum.

In PE, the children have been developing their teamwork and problem-solving skills through orienteering activities. They worked together to follow maps, locate checkpoints, and navigate different routes, showing great enthusiasm and perseverance.

In English, we have been focusing on describing characters in more detail. The children explored possessive apostrophes and  how suffixes can be used to change and enhance words, helping them to create more vivid and interesting character descriptions in their writing.

Our learning in RE has taken us on a journey to explore different places of worship from a range of religions. The children showed curiosity and respect as they learnt about the features and importance of these special places.

In History, we looked at schools from the past and compared them to modern-day classrooms. The children were particularly interested in discussing and discovering what school life was like for their parents. They enjoyed hearing about differences in rules, equipment, and daily routines, and asked thoughtful questions.

In Computing, the class had great fun exploring music creation. They experimented with different sounds, rhythms, and patterns, showing creativity and confidence as they composed their own pieces.

It has been a fantastic week of learning, and we are very proud of the children’s hard work, curiosity, and positive attitudes.
