Careers Week

We have had a busy Careers Week in Year 6.

We have had class workshops with parents and finished the week with our careers fair. Thank you to all the parents who visited us to talk about their jobs. In one workshop, we held court about a typical human rights case involving the government. We split into teams to prepare our points and presented them to the judge. In another, we learnt about marketing at Starbucks. We had fun designing our own AI agents and showed the prototypes in Celebration assembly.  The week finished with a careers fair where 20 parents spoke with groups of children from Year 5 and 6. The children had the opportunity to hold a camera from the BBC thanks to Iain Morris volunteering to come in. We also finished our third and final financial literacy workshop where we learnt about investment. We have now created our double page spread to record eight careers we were especially inspired by.
