Resistance is not Futile!

Our first week back after half term is also the final half term for the Year 6 children at Sheen Mount.  We are all feeling excited about putting on a bit of a show for our parents in a few weeks’ time at our Celebration Evening and we are all looking forward to focusing our efforts on producing a great project on any subject that interests us – this will be our homework for the next five weeks!  Back in school, in our science lesson on electricity this week we investigated resistance. We found that the amount of current that flows through a circuit depends on how easily the electricity can flow through the wires and other components.  When there is more resistance, it is more difficult for the electricity to flow and there is less current and when there is less resistance, it is easier for the electricity to flow and there is more current.
