Our focus story this week has been My Pet Star, which the children have really enjoyed. After reading the story together, they have used their creativity to design and make their own pet stars. They carefully chose materials and colours, and shared wonderful ideas about what their stars might look like and what they might do. Next week, the children will be creating a special setting for their pet stars. This will help spark their imagination and support them in developing ideas for their upcoming writing activities.

In maths, we have been investigating the different ways to make the number 5. The children explored how numbers can be combined to create 5, using objects, counting and singing! They discovered different pairs such as 1 and 4 or 2 and 3 and enjoyed explaining their thinking while working with their friends.
