Black History Month: Marcus Rashford

In Year 2 we have been celebrating Black History Month. We have been the discussing the importance of treating all people equally and being proud of who we are. Our focus person is Marcus Rashford, and we are very proud to be exploring the life of such a talented, generous and considerate person. We have been learning all about Rashford's football career, as well as his social activism to ensure that all children receive the food they need. We have also been looking at Ruby Bridges, another inspiring activist, who was one of the first black children to join a newly desegregated school in 1959. Year 2 were blown away by her bravery and resilience. We are looking forward to the weeks ahead where we will learn about more inspiring people.
