Gold medals and the Golden Touch

There  has been a lot of talk about gold this week in Year 4. Read more to find out more.

In English this week, the children have been thinking about the story of King Midas and  his obsession with gold. They have written about the foolish king's request to have a golden touch which resulted in him turning his beloved daughter, Marigold, into a solid, glistening statue. In our history lesson, we have compared the Ancient Greek Olympics with the modern day Olympics. You can see pictures of the children's team presentations of differences and similarities in Venn Diagram format.
