We have had a great few weeks of learning in Year 1! 

This week in carousel we have been learning about the story of The Bowerbird. We have been thinking about the different character's emotions, and writing sentences to describe how they might feel. We have also been exploring moving pictures, and have been designing our own moving picture to make next week!

In maths, we have begun exploring parts and wholes. We have learnt about the part-whole model, and have now started writing number sentences for a part-whole model using + and = symbols.

In PSHE, we have continued learning about emotions. This week, we have been thinking about what makes us feel calm or excited, and we practised some guided breathing together. We then shared what we enjoy doing to help us relax.

In French, we have continued learning about greetings. We first did a recap on how to say hell,  and then learnt how to say 'my name is' in French!
