Last week, year 4 visited Kew Gardens for the day. The weather was perfect so we had a wonderful day enjoying the beautiful gardens whilst also learning more about the flora of the Amazon rainforest. Our workshop included time in the Palm house, where we could see how different plants had adapted to the humid habitat. We also had classroom time where we sorted many everyday items which originate from plants in this region. Our learning covered geography, science and even history as we spotted buildings which have been added to the gardens over hundreds of years.
