Life in the undergrowth- invertebrates NOT minibeasts!

Reception have started their final 'Understanding of the world' topic which is all about invertebrates! We read the story 'Nature Trail' by Benjamin Zephaniah and then went to explore our lovely forest area and sensory garden to see what creatures we could find. We have all enjoyed drawing different invertebrates and learning that these creatures do not have a backbone. This week we have started exploring caterpillars and butterflies using the much loved story "The very hungry caterpillar'. In PSED, we have been learning the importance of following rules and teamwork by playing games and working with each other cooperatively. In maths, we have learnt about sharing amounts EQUALLY.
