The Saga Ends

It has been a fantastic and busy start to the Summer Term. Year 5 have been working incredibly hard preparing their performance of Macbeth, bringing together their learning from English, DT, music and dance. We have been so impressed with their dedication to learning lines, songs and stage directions, and we hope you enjoy the production as much as we have. Alongside this, pupils have begun an exciting art unit on craft and design, produced detailed observational drawings of buildings, and developed their skills using a protractor in maths. To culminate their work on the Vikings, they also enjoyed a fantastic enrichment experience exploring Viking settlement in Britain, where they tried candle making, weaving, learning runes and even stepped into the role of archaeologists for the afternoon.
