The children absolutely loved making their very own canopic jars and painting them to finish our learning about the Ancient Egyptians. After watching the live mummification demonstration, they now understand how canopic jars were used during the mummification process to store and protect important organs for the afterlife. It was a fantastic hands-on way to bring our Ancient Egypt topic to a close!
