A huge congratulations to all of year 2 for the amazing Christmas Show! They have practised hard and achieved three incredible performances, all very different with special highlights for us all to enjoy. They performed with projected voices, they sang in harmony and with actions and they covered for each other when friends were sick. It was wonderful to see and felt like a huge team effort amongst the 90 children. Aside from this, lessons have continued as usual. We have started a new book in literacy called 'How to catch a star' and learnt how to write questions using punctuation and a range of question words. In art we have sculpted clay pumpkins and are about to paint them. In maths, we are learning to subtract using 2-digit numbers and our knowledge of number bonds and mental maths. In geography, we have learnt about the hot and cold regions of the world. Another highlight of our week was learning about Hanukkah and playing traditional games with Phlox's Mum!
