Last Friday, everyone in year 4 celebrated the end of our Ancient Greece topic by dressing up in chitons for the day. We spent the day learning about the legacy of the Ancient Greek civilasation. Our activites included looking at the scientific achievements of Archemides; the photo shows children trying to solve his stomachian puzzle. We learnt about Greek architecture by using plasticine to make 3 different styles of column and we solved puzzles using the Greek alphabet. Our day ended with our version of the Olympics; chariot racing, long jump and javelin. A fun way to finish this history topic!
