    As part of our 'forces' science topic, we explored magnets this week, experimenting with a variety of materials to find which ones are magnetic and which are not.   • Stone Age Day!

    Our Year 3 children had an unforgettable time on Stone Age Day. They tried their hand at flint knapping and made some very impressive spearheads. We created striking cave paintings, and learned fascinating facts from our Stone Age visitor. It was a wonderfully immersive experience that brought history to life!

  • Stone Age Children

    Year 3 have travelled back in time to begin learning about the Stone Age. Their learning has been enhanced by some wonderful art lessons including a focus on Stone Henge at sunrise and a study of animals using charcoal. In other news, they have begun reading 'Major Glad, Major Dizzy'. Ask them what has been found under the floorboards.

  • Year 3 Takeover

    The whole school became year 3's playground on Friday evening as we gathered for the evening. It was an exclusive event; only year 3 children or  teaching team were allowed in! Lots of fun was had as we used the whole of the school grounds for orienteering, playing games and picnicking with the sandwiches we had made earlier in the day. It was a fabulous evening to celebrate the wonderful year we have had together. You're ready for year 4 now children!
