Co-Opted Governor |
Appointment date and term |
First appointed on 28th November 2018, for 4 years. Re-appointed for a further 4 year term from 28th November 2022. |
Why did you want to be a governor? |
To support the school and to help them develop the children holistically so they can strive to be the best individuals they can be. I also enjoy playing a bigger part in the local community which I believe the school is a major part of. |
Which Committee do you sit on? |
I sit on the Curriculum & Learning Committee. |
What do you do when you are not being a governor? |
As well as being a wife and mother of two children I am also a Primary School teacher for over twenty years. I have worked throughout Key Stage 1 and 2 but have more recently worked with SEND children in an Independent School. |
During your time as a governor, what achievement has made you most proud? |
This is my fourth year as a governor at the school. I am particularly proud of my support for the school to introduce and implement a provision mapper, enabling the school to record information accurately but also helping to reduce and streamline paperwork. This is now used throughout the school. I have also found my regular visits to the school to meet SEND children and parents worthwhile. I have enjoyed meeting key members of staff that support SEND children throughout the school and have enjoyed witnessing how they strive to support the children to develop their independence. |
