Governor Position held

Co-Opted Governor

Why did you want to be a Governor?

To support the school and to help them develop the children holistically so they can strive to be the best individuals they can be.  I also wanted to play a bigger part in the local community, which I believe the school is a major part of.

Which committee do you sit on?

I sit on the Teaching and Learning Committee.

What do you do when you are not being a Governor?

I have enjoyed teaching children in the State and Independent Sector in Primary Education for twenty five years.  I now work as a SENCo in an Independent School.  Alongside this, I enjoy bringing up my two children – both of which have attended Sheen Mount both past and present.

During your time on the governing body, what achievement has made you most proud?

I am now serving my second term as a governor having started the role in 2018.  I thoroughly enjoy hearing about all the great work Sheen Mount staff and pupils achieve and enjoy my visits to the school to see all this in action.

Sum up Sheen Mount in 3 words
