Now is the time to apply for instrumental lessons for the Autumn term. Instrumental tuition is taught by visiting teachers from The Richmond Music Trust.
At the present time The Richmond Music Trust provides lessons in flute, clarinet, saxophone, recorder, trumpet, violin, guitar, percussion and singing.
If your child wishes to learn flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, violin, guitar, percussion or singing, please collect an application form from the office or apply directly to www.richmondmusictrust.org.uk. There is a waiting list for some instruments so please apply as soon as your child has decided which instrument they would like to learn.
In Year 2 children have the opportunity to learn the recorder. They apply for this tuition through school. Information about recorder will follow later on this term.
Children in Year 1 can take part in Music Makers which is held on a Thursday lunchtime. Please apply for this club through the Richmond Music Trust.
The Richmond Music Trust band is for all brass and woodwind players. The aim of this band is to provide an opportunity for children from schools in this area of Richmond Borough to play in an ensemble. This takes place on Wednesdays in the school hall from 4.30-5.30. Please contact the Music Trust for more information.
This term Year 4 children will be taking part in the second part of the Wider Opportunities in Music project. They will have whole class tuition in clarinet or saxophone. These sessions will be taught by woodwind teachers from the Music Trust.
Please contact Mrs Boa if you would like more information about instrumental lessons for the Summer or Autumn term.
