The drama of a poor Victorian Child!

This week in maths we have been looking at doubling and halving and how these relate to multiplication and division. In English we wrote a diary entry recounting the day in the life of a poor Victorian child. We shared how miserable it would be working in a dangerous and terrifying factory or Coal mine for up to 12 hours a day! We used to drama to act out life as a poor Victorian child  to inspire our writing. In art, we continued our topic of The Victorians by creating beautiful collages of all of our favourite things. In this hot weather we have found that using our mindful technique  such as meditating, colouring and finger tracing have helped us stay calm and relaxed. We have also been enjoying watching our caterpillars getting bigger, and we are all excited for the next step in their life cycle.
