‘Roll’ Play

The Year 6 children have had a busy start to the Spring Term.

In English, we have been familiarising ourselves with our new core text “Mouse, Bird, Snake, Wolf” and in science, we have been learning about how animals have adapted to survive in abiotic conditions such as the depths of the ocean.  We have broadened our geographical vocabulary and understanding by examining maps to see how the continent of Europe has changed since the beginning of the 20th Century.   Computing lessons have involved introducing the children to “Tinkercad” to develop our 3D modelling skills. In PE, we have been learning about how to use our bodies in gymnastics to perform a range of different rolls – forwards rolls, pencil rolls and teddy rolls.
